We stopped at the famous Bonzai Pipeline for an
afternoon. We had our boogie boards in hand ready
to conquer any size wave to come our way.
Unfortunately, the waves were a meager 4-6 feet that
day. After what seemed like an eternity paddling
all the way out, looking to catch a wave, it took me
awhile before the right wave would come by. After
riding the waves for about a half hour, I headed back to
the beach. I wanted to surf, but there is so much
coral here, that it is very treacherous for the beginner
to learn here. That day, they already carted a
surfer out of the ocean who split his leg wide open
after crashing on the coral. I would learn to surf
another day.

Here
is a place called Shark's Cove which has great
snorkeling. You can see numerous sea turtles as
they hang out in the bay. Sea turtles only have to
come up for air every 3 hours. After getting a
gulp of air, they will head back to the sea floor, wedge
themselves under a rock, and take a nap.

The Taste of Paradise Surf Grill is a great place to
eat. They serve nice helpings of their tasty
seafood dishes for very reasonable prices. They
are just down the road from the Bonzai Pipeline.
