Napali
Coast

Instead of taking the 11-mile hike into the Napali
Coast, which I plan on doing next time I am in Kauai, I
did the next best thing, which was take a group charter
boat ride to see the majestic coast. There are no
roads, and no way to see the 5,000-foot cliffs, unless
you hike it or take a boat. The $25 investment in my
Entertainment coupon book paid for itself, as I used the coupon to get a nice discount from Holo Holo charters. Click here to pick up a book for yourself.
We were originally supposed to snorkle on Niihau island,
which is a small island just off Kauai, but due to
weather conditions, that part of the trip had to be
cancelled. I look forward to doing this charter
again when I return to Kauai.

Here
is the beach 11 miles away from Kee Beach, from where
the start of the hike begins. There were a couple
tents here on the beach.

This
is a private beach with no way in, except for by boat.

As we
hung around the coast for about a half hour, our Holo
Holo tour guide, Captain Chris, was very
informative as he talked the entire time, with plenty of
insightful facts about the Napali Coast, including its
rich history.

There are caves formed into the sides of the Napali
Coast from the huge waves that timelessly crash into it.

Here
is an up close look at a cave.
